Agreement to terms

By accessing sparkstash.app or downloading the SparkStash app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use SparkStash.

Who we are

SparkStash is a mobile application for musicians to capture, organise and develop song ideas. References to "SparkStash", "we", "us" or "our" refer to the SparkStash team. You can reach us at hello@sparkstash.app.

Your content

Everything you create in SparkStash — lyrics, chord progressions, recordings, notes, projects — belongs to you. We claim no ownership or licence over your creative content.

Guest users store all content locally on their device; we cannot access, view, or recover it. Signed-in users sync content to secure cloud storage to enable cross-device access and backup. In both cases, your content remains yours.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use SparkStash to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage, disable or impair its functioning

Waitlist and early access

By joining our waitlist, you agree to receive emails from SparkStash about our launch and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the app or any particular features, pricing tier, or timeline.

Subscriptions and billing

SparkStash offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. Premium is available on a monthly basis (£2.99/month) or an annual basis (£19.99/year). Prices are shown in GBP and may vary by region as displayed in the App Store.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's terms of service. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone Settings under your Apple ID.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Any price changes will apply at the start of your next billing period.

Intellectual property

The SparkStash name, logo, website and app design are the intellectual property of SparkStash. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to use our branding, trademarks or other proprietary materials.

Disclaimer of warranties

SparkStash is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. As a pre-launch product, functionality may change significantly before and after release.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SparkStash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app or website, including any loss of data or creative content.

Guest users are responsible for maintaining their own backups of locally stored content. Signed-in users benefit from cloud backup, but we recommend keeping copies of any irreplaceable work.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes by posting the updated terms here and updating the date above. Your continued use of SparkStash after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
